Without a doubt, Hong Kong's toughest solo event is the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge and it took place over Chinese New Year, with runners attempting to run all four major Hong Kong trails self-supported for a grand total of 298km / 14,500m D+ in under 60 hours.
It was an historic year at the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge, with not just the first ever sub-60 finisher but FOUR, including a new record finishing time of just 53:00, plus another five survivors.
We'll speak with event founder, Andre Blumberg, about the history and his vision for the challenge (and maybe even get a sneak preview for 2018!), then switch to an informal Q&A with a few of this year's runners including Stone Tsang, Matthew Mok, Jonathan Ng and Leo Chung.
This will be a great chance to learn more about HK4TUC, hear about this year's inspirational stories, and maybe get a few tips is you are want to take up the challenge in 2018. Entry is free and there will be drink specials thanks to John Mckinven and the team at Cafe 8.
There is a suggested donation of HK$100 (or more!) which will go to Stone's magnificent charity effort, including supporting Free to Run and providing opportunities for underprivileged Hong Kong youth to learn and grow through sports. He just hit hist HK$440K fundraising target, but let's help him blow through it and help others less fortunate!
