Swedish guitarist Erik Söderlind will play a concert at Morrison Café and Bar. He will be backed by bassist Rickard Malmsten, keyboardist Jim Schneider and drummerTzu Yu Huang (FISH). This will be his only solo performance in Hong Kong and a rare opportunity to catch this world-class performer in an intimate setting.
Erik Söderlind is one of Europe's rising jazz-guitar talents. At an early age he was heavily influenced by jazz greats like Wes Montgomery, George Benson and Grant Green. After graduating from the Stockholm Royal College of Music, Erik was quickly sought after by some of Sweden's top established musicians for his distinctive pure sound and soulful musical voice. In recognition of his talent and unique finger-style technique, he has received the prestigious Hagström Award and Guitarpeopleprize for "Guitar-player of the year". In recent years, Erik has played across the globe and recorded with some of New York's top Jazz artist, including names such as Eric Alexander, Peter Bernstein, and Ben Patterson.
